Cesar Azpilicueta refers to the most lethal player in Chelsea – and it's not Higuain, Giroud or Hazard

Chelsea have had their problems in front of goals this season, the Blues have been more effective than any other Premier League team throughout the 2018/19 campaign.

The Blues had the second highest number of shots in the campaign with 476 but hit the post or bar 19 times, three more than Liverpool, and only found 50 goals, the sixth.

Eden Hazard leads the scorers with 13 goals and 11 badists, while new striker Gonzalo Higuain has found the back of the net only three times since arriving in January.

Meanwhile, Olivier Giroud has been in fantastic form in the Europa League with nine goals on the way to the quarterfinals, but he has only scored once in the league this season.

But Azpilicueta named Pedro as the most lethal player in front of the goal in training, which he integrated into the matches.

"Training is a very important part of our job and recently, everyone has been training hard and trying to get the best possible form for the games," Azpilicueta told the official Chelsea website.

"If I had to name a good time then Pedro in front of goal, he makes the difference and you see when it comes to the way he trains, he repeats it in the match."

The Spaniard has scored eight times in the Premier League, one of his greatest total ever for the Blues of the 2016/17 season.

This is a decent total for a player who has been in and out, constantly traded with Willian on the right wing, starting 18 matches and making seven other appearances on the bench.
