The sad incident plunged Asuano residents and members of the traditional council into a state of shock and mourning.
According to sources, the queen mother disappeared about three days ago. Advertisements have been made on local radio stations.
Unfortunately, Tuesday morning, his body was found hanging on a tree in the Droboso cemetery.
The local deputy, Opoku Adjei, who was one of the first to see the dead body, quickly informed the traditional authorities of Asuano and Wenchi, as well as the police.
Police and traditional council members went to the scene and removed the body from the tree.
DAILY GUIDE learned that because of her status as queen mother, rites were performed and the body was quickly buried according to tradition.
Some community members wondered if the incident was a bad omen and an abomination for the community, because nothing of this kind had ever happened before.
Police in the region remain unobtrusive about the incident, although regional police spokesman – Chief Inspector Augustine Oppong – confirmed it.
He did however make other comments.
