The 17-concert tour was scheduled to begin in Miami on April 20
The Rolling Stones postponed their tour to the US and Canada as Mick Jagger became ill.
In a statement, the band said the doctors had advised Jagger not to tour because he needed medical treatment.
The 17-concert tour was scheduled to begin in Miami on April 20, before traveling across North America to a final in Oro-Medonte, Canada, on June 29.
Jagger, 75, is excused directly from fans on Instagram and Twitter.
"I really hate to let you down like that," he writes. "I am devastated by the postponement of the tour, but I will work very hard to get back on stage as soon as I can."

In a statement to Rolling Stone magazine, the group's publicist stated that Jagger was "supposed to get over completely, so he could get back on the scene as quickly as possible".
They gave no details about his illness.

The group's No Filter World Tour officially began in September 2017 with a concert in Hamburg, Germany.
They then toured Europe and the United Kingdom until 2017 and 2018, before announcing the pbadage of the United States and Canada in November 2018.
The tour organizers, AEG Presents / Concerts West, are asking fans to keep their tickets, as they will remain valid at the postponed concerts.
