Recently, the media has been overwhelmed by many young people in the area, mostly students, committing suicide under different circumstances. According to estimates by the World Health Organization (WHO), more than 300 million people worldwide are currently living with depression.
At worst, depression can lead to suicide. Each year, nearly 800,000 people die from suicide. This suicide is the second leading cause of death among young people aged 15 to 29.
Some young people shared with Sharon Kantengwa, their thoughts on the treatment of the enormity of depression.
Young people, especially teenagers, grow up with unrealistic expectations. In addition to the lifestyle standards established by modern media, most parents do not teach their children the type of coping skills they need to survive in adulthood. I think the media needs to do better about how they describe how young people should make the transition in life.

Our society is becoming more and more selfish. People no longer care about the people around them and it hurts young people, who are experiencing a crisis of family problems or unrealized dreams. This is further compounded by negativity and trolling on social media. We simply need to be there for each other and show our concern rather than panic when people commit suicide or drown in addiction.
