The Ministry of Energy should address Ghanaians through the media later in the morning on issues related to the country's electricity supply.

This follows several cases of intermittent power cuts reported in various parts of the country.

In some cases, communities are deprived of electricity for more than one day without official explanation from the energy distribution company, PDS.

It has been reported that seven of the country's sixteen regions would experience intensive shedding due to a broken valve at the Atuabo gas plant, but the schedule of said shedding program has not yet been made public for consumer information. .

Last week, PDS announced a power outage from 8am to 5pm in some communities in the Volta region and in Tema due to maintenance work being carried out.

According to some residents, the power supply to these areas did not return to normal after the indicated period.

The press conference of the Ministry of Energy should address these issues among other concerns related to the power supply in the country.

Energy Minister John Peter Amewu said last week that he was not ruling out political sabotage in the apparent vandalism of a high-voltage transmission tower in Ghana. Grid Company (GRIDCo) in Tema.
