Police in Vallejo, California, released a video footage showing the fatal killing of African-American rapper Willie McCoy last February while he was sleeping in his car in front of a Taco Bell. The police said at the time that McCoy had made a sudden decision, but the footage shows that he simply shifted his hand to scratch his shoulder and that he clearly did not represent any threat, but the six officers present opened fire on him. McCoy's family lawyer has said he will take legal action for violating the civil rights of the local police and the police responsible for his murder.
