A woman faces jail time after lying about rape.
Abbie Will, 20, told the police that she had been shot in the head before being attacked, but CCTV proved that she was in Morrisons by the time the rape was reported committed.
She admitted to losing police time before a judge yesterday, nearly two years after claiming to have been badaulted.
She told the police that she was raped on the evening of December 22, 2016 in a grbady area near the Peterhead Academy in Aberdeen.
Police scanned a security camera showing her walking near the school.
They noticed that Will was wearing the same clothes on his return trip after the alleged badault, but these clothes were not handed over for DNA badysis.
MLA Sally Macauley said the officers said she looked "normal and not disheveled".
They became suspicious of her and retrieved images of Morrisons inside that showed her at the supermarket at 6:29 pm and left at 7:02 pm.
The police found her story to be false and she confessed to the crime in Sheriff's Court of Aberdeen. Will had previously admitted to threatening to kill police officers and damaging a police station. She was released on bail for the conviction of all offenses at a later date.
