Ashley Young was fired by the iconic referee in the middle of the second period
Mike Dean became the first referee in the history of the Premier League to brandish 100 red cards.
The iconic coach sacked Ashley Young in the middle of the second half of Manchester United's 2-1 defeat against Wolves at Molineux on Tuesday night.
The 50-year-old had no choice after the defender's reckless defeat of Diogo Jota, deemed worthy of a second yellow card.
Dean also doubled his numbers for this campaign after giving his orders to Young.
It was his tenth dismissal in just 24 games, almost double his nearest competitor, Michael Oliver, who introduced six red cards this quarter.

Dean is one of the best-known personalities in the Premier League since the early 2000s – and he has a head start in the red card race of all time, no other official reaching 60 .
While his career was fraught with controversy, he had a relatively quiet night on Tuesday, as the Wolves dealt a terrible blow to Man United's top four hopes.
Scott McTominay put the Red Devils in first for United's goals, but their lead was quickly canceled by Jota after Fred's mistake.
And the Wolves completed their victory with a goal against him by Chris Smalling.
