Jose Mourinho think Porto have a big advantage over Liverpool in the Champions League draw

Jose Mourinho thinks that Liverpool's badault on the Premier League will open the door to Porto when both players will meet in the Champions League later this month.

Jurgen Klopp's team drew against the Portuguese in the last 16 editions of the first European competition and the Reds fled in a hurry by imposing a 5-0 win at Estadio do Dragao on February 14th.

The return leg at Anfield was not an event. Klopp's men had a goalless draw to advance to the quarter-finals for the first time in nine years.

After drawing Porto for the second consecutive season in the Champions League, an opportunity to present at another appearance in the semifinal waits for Liverpool.

However, former Manchester United boss, Mourinho, thinks the Klopp team could be too concerned about their attempts to win the first league title in nearly three decades.

And Mourinho, who won the Champions League with Porto in 2004, believes his former team will be a different proposition from the one that was thoroughly defeated last year.

"Porto has a chance to win and pbad," Mourinho told the ANTF Forum this week, as reported by Portuguese media.

"Compared to last season, I think Sergio Conceicao (Porto coach) will be wondering what happened to do something different this time around.

"The meeting is open and what happened last year, I think, can play for Porto in both games.

"Liverpool has an absolutely fantastic individual quality, but they are playing the league title, which means that they will not rest the players in the previous match or between the two matches."

The Reds will host Porto on April 9th. The return match will take place eight days later in Portugal.
