Marco Silva takes the time to turn Everton FC into Premier League strength

Everton's football director Marcel Brands gave Marco Silva a boost after the Dutchman promised to give the manager time to develop his plans.

Saturday's victory at West Ham was only the third time the Toffees had recorded two consecutive Premier League victories under Silva, who took the lead in the summer.

This has eased the pressure on the manager and the comments of Brands should give more respite to the Portuguese while Everton tries to catch the Wolves, seventh.

Asked about his strategy for the club, Brands at the London Football Innovation Summit said: "Do not break anything and bring everything to everyone.

"I think that one of the most important things about my job is not to be too emotional.

"One of the most difficult tasks of my job is to find the right manager, it's one of the most important types of the club and, if you find it, give it the necessary time.

"Give him the opportunity to work and, if the manager integrates into the club, adapts to the culture, develop a plan and move forward step by step.
