District Director of Sekyere East, the Hon. Mary Boatemaa Marfo reportedly hired a group of Machomen to chase the NPP executive members to Effiduase at a party-planned meeting to oust the DCE from office for allegations of corruption .
According to the report, the DCE reportedly ordered the Machomen to stop the planned meeting and vandalize the properties of members of the executive who did not obey its orders.
The well-built men stormed the party office with sticks and asked party leaders to withdraw from the office. They accused them of organizing the withdrawal of the DCE from office to try to pbad a vote of confidence.
According to the riding secretary, Kwame Ampratwum, the Machomen hit him with a stick to which he also responded.
About 16 members of the Assembly simply want their DCE removed from office for "incompetence" and "corruption".
