Arsenal: Arsenal plans to appoint Marseille boss as technical director

Arsenal has started interviewing new candidates to badume the role of the club's technical director, reports said.

The Gunners were upset in their attempt to nominate a new club boss after former Roma leader Monchi decided to join Sevilla and Marc Overmars signed a new contract in Ajax.

Arsenal is looking for a new director of football after chief of recruitment, Sven Mislintat, left his post earlier this year.

The Daily Mail says the hiring process has begun and Arsenal is considering the sports director of Marseille, Andoni Zubziaretta.

According to reports in France, Zubziaretta was determining whether she would leave Marseille and join Arsenal.

The director of football, Raul Sanllehi, is looking for the technical director after having first asked for the appointment of Monchi.

Arsenal wants to fill this position in the coming months after losing key figures at the club's summit.

Mislintat left the Gunners after the emirate's departure from the club's CEO, Ivan Gazidis.

Unai Emery will be eager to see the problems within the club hierarchy resolved quickly, with Arsenal facing a crucial clash at the end of the season.

The Gunners are in pole position to finish in the top four after Manchester United was beaten by the Wolves.

Emery will see his summer transfer Kitty considerably strengthened if he brings the club back to the Champions League.
