The Deputy of Lower Manya Krobo has accused the government of sabotage, his constituents being without power for three days.

Ebenezer MP Teye Larbi, who baderted these claims, said the situation affected economic activities in the region.

The legislator warned that if the problem was not solved, it could trigger a demonstration.

He added that his constituents are no different from the residents of Accra and other parts of the country and therefore do not deserve the ordeal they are currently going through.

Residents in Accra have also slept in the dark for days, but the government insists it is not engaged in any shedding operation, known as dumsor.

The Ministry of Energy cited the repair work of the Atuabo gas station in Ghana, fuel supply as factors contributing to the irregular supply of electricity to consumers.

He badured that the electricity supply would be stable in ten days, when emergency measures are put in place to remedy the situation.

Dwaso Nsem Wednesday, in the morning show of Adom FM, Hon Larbi said the electricity distributor, PDS, was trying to be patient.

He explained how his constituents had been subjected to similar inhuman treatment by last year's ECG, leading to a series of demonstrations.

What is even more painful, said MP Lower Manya Krobo, is when the cities of Akuapem mountains are lit up when he and his people "sleep in the dark".

As an immediate measure, the Honorable Larbi stated that he would raise the matter in Parliament so that the minister responsible would be called.
