BOST unionized staff supports MD

The BOST bulk oil storage and transportation (BOST) union staff applauded the executive director, Mr. George Mensah Okley, for his leadership and sense of employment in the management of oil and gas. society.

"Mr. Okley is one of the most diligent, most motivated and fair CEOs to come to BOST and we, the unionized staff, fully support him.

"In Ghana, it is very rare that a particular race individual decides to work with people based on their skills and integrity. and not on his political affiliation, "said the union in a statement to the Ghanaian news agency in Accra on Wednesday.

It was signed jointly by Mr. Abdul Rahman, President of the staff; Mr. Ekow Sey, Principal Secretary of Personnel; Mr. Louis Doe Anku, President of the Local; and Mr. Peter Akoma Agyarko, Local Secretary.

The union vote of confidence comes at a time when some people have accused bad actions against BOST management and the general director.

According to the statement, "any sensible person who cares about BOST's interests should applaud Mr. Okley's exemplary leadership and not condemn him."

"We, members of BOST's unionized staff, are categorically moving away from the obvious orchestrated political petitions and statements and also urging Ghanaians to do the same with the contempt they deserve.

"We believe his achievements deserve to be mentioned rather than by this desperate attempt by these faceless individuals to tarnish his image."

They awarded MD high marks for seeking funding and technical partners for upgrading BOST repositories and for restoring the integrity of operations in all BOST repositories.

Added to this is the establishment of a clearer and clearer relationship with bulk distribution companies (BDCs), which has given the company a competitive advantage.

He added that the MD also led BOST in the negotiations to buy a warehouse in the western region with a Ghanaian bank to establish a presence in this part of the country.

"We are also planning to put in place a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) system to support the delivery of the government's bottle recirculation model.

"The MD has successfully renegotiated and is about to bring pipelines back to the country to rehabilitate the degraded pipeline between the Accra Plains Depot and our transit depot in Akosombo.

"The contract has been awarded and the project will start in the coming weeks. This is a milestone in the company's history as these pipelines have been locked in Houston, United States, for the last ten years and none of the previous BOST MDs have been able to do so. what he did during his brief term "

According to the statement, under the current supervision of MD, BOST was forging strong alliances and gaining confidence from the banking and investment sector.
