Sadiq Abdulai Abu, CEO of 3Music Awards, revealed that Shatta Wale had not got enough votes from the board of directors before the 3Music Awards that had seen him (Shatta Wale) win most rewards the night of the event.

Reacting to the controversy surrounding the second edition of the event, which states "why Shatta Wale claimed about eight plaques at night," Sadiq said the audience was helping the artist with his votes.

According to Sadiq, the academy / jury awards program did not favor the artist, as speculated a part of the public, but he had obtained more than enough votes from the mbades.

"The audience helped Shatta Wale to win the awards. Not the board of directors. It did not get enough votes from the board and the academy," said Sadiq Abdulai Abu at the Hitz FM Daybreak Hitz show with Andy Dosty.

"Stonebwoy and Sarknatives fanatics, among other fans, after the awards went to social media to express their dissatisfaction and disappointment at the 3 Music Awards, claiming that most of Shatta Wale's awards that night were framed and intended to mark around him ".

He noted that some had even claimed that the organizers were fanatics of Shatta Wale and had decided to honor their boss with most of the awards of the evening.

The CEO of 3Music Awards has publicly responded to these claims by stating that it was baseless and should be ignored by the mbades and the media.

3Music Awards 2019 was unveiled Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Fantasy Dome – Accra.
