The K-pop Blackpink Quartet is back today (April 4th) with its new teasing single "Kill This Love".
"Kill This Love", their first song in 2019, is a catchy electro-pop song on the second EP of the same name.
The accompanying video of "Kill This Love" presents the quartet – Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rosé – depicting the disappearance of romance while oscillating between ultra-futuristic images and clbadical influences, with wreaths, dresses, stained glbad, streetwear, and tomb Raider-which seems to make appearances.
Thematically, it contains various weapons, ranging from a car driven with the intention of killing to a giant hunting trap in which the group dance is performed. Meanwhile, the quartet violently delivers verses and dramatic raps. The song includes several long verses all in English, a stylistic change from the act.
"Kill This Love" was released at midnight in South Korea on Friday, April 5, and at 11 am EST on Thursday, April 4; The album will be available April 5 worldwide.
