Man Utd's boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, serves a fast food diet

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is installing a food station at the Carrington canteen so that his players do not have to queue for lunch with the club staff after their training.

The new boss of United was not happy with the time the team had to wait for his meals and wanted to set up an accelerated system.

Players will continue to eat with the staff on the training ground as Solskjaer is keen to create a happier work environment since returning to the club in December.

But he wanted to make sure that there was always enough food for the group once their training session was over.

Solskjaer is not the first United manager to make changes to the canteen after taking office. David Moyes banished the fries from the menu, to the disappointment of the players who had taken advantage of it as a pre-game candy on Friday night for many years under Sir Alex Ferguson.

For his part, Louis van Gaal replaced the rectangular tables with round tables to encourage conversation at dinner time.

The authoritarian Dutchman also insisted on getting his food first and dictating which players should be served next, while ordering the closure of a board to separate the play team.

Jose Mourinho got rid of the sign and also modified the framed photographs in the hallway leading to the canteen.

The Portuguese coach has replaced the images of the former glory of United with a gallery of their victories in the final of the Europa League 2017 and the League League, to allow his players to enjoy their own success and not to be confronted daily with the club's past.
