Atalanta has become the first team of series A to score four times in the first 15 minutes of a match since 1932 in a brawl of Bologna. The side of Gian Piero Gasperini moved to to a point of AC Milan in the last qualifying spot for the Champions League after the demolition of Bologna at Atleti Azzurri of Italia on Thursday. They hit twice in the first five minutes of the match. Josip Ilicic beat goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski from outside the penalty area and scored another 122 seconds later.

Ilicic then became a supplier as the hosts did 3-0 in the ninth minuteHans Hateboer shot a straight finish that allowed Atalanta to retain his dominance. Incredibly, they were still not finished as Bologna continued to collapse, with Remo Freuler scoring Duvan Zapata for his 20th Serie A goal of the season.

No team in Serie A had scored four goals so early in a match since Juventus made a fast start match against Roma until March 1932. Bologna at least scored in the second half, Riccardo Orsolini scoring in the upper right corner with a long-range strike.

Super season could be even better for Gasperini's men host Fiorentina in the return leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final later this month, after pulling the opener 3-3.
