The Lumineers will release their new album, IIISeptember 13th via Dualtone. The band has dropped "Gloria," the album's first single, which according to singer Wesley Schultz, "talks about the love between an addict and her family".
III The group's third album, written by Schultz and multi-instrumentalist Jeremiah Fraites, sees violinist / singer Lauren Jacobson, who played on the band's last two outings, formally joined the group. Fraites said about the new music in a statement: "This collection of songs has been beautifully crafted, and I think with this album we have really managed our step."
The last album of the group based in Denver, Cleopatra, was released in 2016. III is available for pre-order now.
The Lumineers will tour to support the new album. The "III: The World Tour" tour will begin this summer with a series of festivals. The group will perform at Bonnaroo Music Festival, off the land and at Woodstock Music & Arts. They will tour Europe and the UK in November with other dates to be announced. Tickets for the Europe and UK races will go on sale Friday, April 12th.
