The craft brewers conference will begin in Denver on Monday. It is the largest US gathering in the industry with 14,000 attendees expected, nearly 100 ongoing seminars and at least 1,000 exhibitors sharing their latest creations. Before the event, the brewers' badociation published its annual growth figures and there is good news for small independent brewers in the country. The craft beer revolution continues to be strong and the industry's market share has increased from 12.1% in volume in 2016 to 13.2% in 2018. Last year, revenues have also increased, up 7% from 2017 to $ 27.6 billion. Artisan beer now accounts for 24.1% of the American beer market.

Again, this is a huge increase over the industry a decade ago, when just over 1,500 were open. Last year, 2,594 breweries were breweries, 4,521 microenterprises and 231 regional breweries.
