Actress Helen Paul shocked the fans by revealing that she was born after her mother's rape while she shared an emotional message online.
Nigeria's 41-year-old star dedicated a doctorate to her mother, which was awarded to her at the University of Lagos. She explained that her difficulties had grown.
While visiting Instagram on Friday, the star revealed the origins of her design as she shared a video of her graduation ceremony.
In a heartfelt statement, Helen explained her love for her mother and her pride in realizing what many thought could not be done.

"JE HELEN PAUL dedicates this to my mother, you gave me birth after a rape, they told you that I would lead to nothing," she began .
"I grew up hearing family members; being called "B ***** d" and every time I asked you, you said (Olorun lon wo omo moury, Olorun my meaning: God look at the child of a madman, he will watch over you), "she wrote.
"Mom, I want to know that I love you, I might not be able to buy Benz now because I do not have any pants yet, but this certificate will be something great." she wrote.
"They say that fame is nothing but grace is everything and I pray that everything will be done," she continued.

"I'm not a Cele member, but Osofa's fire gave me her name and all that Osofa's fire said about Helen Paul is coming to fruition," she continued.
"I dedicate this to every mother, God make you strong enough to survive and enjoy the fruit of your labor," she added.
