Bobby Lashley deserves respect as heel threat

Bobby Lashley has the resume and skills to be one of the best heels in the WWE, with the appropriate booking behind him.

We all know that booking is an important aspect of character development. For a character to be a credible threat to the most talented talent on the list, he must be reserved as a force. To accompany the reservation, the look of the character is just as important. Bobby Lashley could very well pbad the visual check test as a credible threat to any WWE Champion. However, an error in the reservation placed him in a stagnant and precarious position that affected the perception of his general abilities by the fans – a perception that is far from correct.

A year ago, Lashley was back at WWE the following night at WrestleMania 34. Fans were excitedly hoping that his return meant that it would be featured in the main event. Brock Lesnar was the champion that everyone wanted to exclude from the photo and Lashley seemed to be the candidate who would have taken away that title. With similar training in wrestling and mixed martial arts; a scenario surrounding these links has almost been written.

Instead, WWE Creative has taken a different direction. by putting him in meaningless games that have sucked all the peculiarity of his return. There was a moment when he defeated Roman Reigns at Extreme Rules, only to defeat Reigns, who would continue his quarrel with Lesnar.

Lashley may be the Intercontinental Champion, but he is obviously going to drop this title to Finn Balor disguised as The Demon. Even with this belt, Lashley was stuck in a middle position of the map looking like a purgatory, with no clear direction to go out.

One of the special aspects of WrestleMania is that it is not only one of the biggest events of professional wrestling; this puts an end to a variety of stories, setting the stage for something new as early as Monday night, Monday night. We can hope that for Lashley, this "new" leads to a role worthy of someone who has his talent and his abilities.

Remember almost 10 years ago at Lashley's first deal with the company. He was living a favored placement within the organization since he won the ECW Championship twice. He has also played a leading role in the comical quarrel between Vince McMahon and current President Donald Trump – a projector that shows the company's leadership trusts him as star talent. In the eyes of many experts, Lashley could have been the first African-American man to be the first WWE champion, a historic moment that has not happened yet, even in 2019.

We talked about how unfortunate bookings and lack of direction have affected Lashley's character in his second time with the company. But these are problems that can be easily solved over time. The formation of WWE lacks credible stubs that can visually match the role that Lashley can. With Lio Rush added to the equation as hype, this duo can do virtually nothing. All you need is to rebuild this tandem and this could be achieved through a race as champions or even quick quarrels against the multitude of faces of the Raw brand. The whole equation depends on Lashley's reservation as the main threat.

Following: Kofi Kingston and the push for inclusion

WWE suffers big heels on the main formation. There are very few credible threats at the top of the list, but Bobby Lashley is a solution to this problem. WWE Creative does not need to do much to remind the WWE Universe that Lashley is the real deal. Fans may have forgotten it, but it has already proven itself in professional wrestling, collegiate wrestling and mixed martial arts to prove that everyone is wrong.
