Ole Gunnar Solskjaer plans to call Marcos Rojo back to his starting lineup for the Manchester United clash with West Ham.

United's boss was there to watch Rojo in action for United's Under-23 on Friday night, a game the Red Devils drew 1-1 with West Brom.

As United play their next game against Barcelona in the Champions League on Wednesday night, Solskjaer has an eye on his team's next game against West Ham next Saturday.

Luke Shaw and Ashley Young are suspended for the game, leaving United in a minor back injury.

The Daily Mail claims that Solskjaer is wondering if he should appeal to Rojo, who has already played as a defender in United.

Midfielder Andreas Pereira is also an option, but Solskjaer would obviously prefer an experienced defender playing in the back.

However, Rojo failed to impress in front of his manager and coach of the first team, Kieran McKenna.

The Argentine international has had a dismal season so far, making only four appearances for United and only one during the reign of Solskjaer.

Solskjaer sent Rojo home after a cold weather camp in Dubai in January for fitness problems. The 29-year-old was then criticized by United fans in their recent defeat against the Wolves.

Rojo did not play, but was surprised laughing on the bench as United collapsed in the face of a costly 2-1 defeat.

Solskjaer is determined to put United's four main challenges back on track after the Wolves' devastating defeat, which left them two points behind fourth place.
