Swaniker's work as an entrepreneur in education has been hailed by personalities such as former US President Barack Obama. Apart from this, he has been recognized as a TED Fellow (2009) and as a young world leader of the World Economic Forum (2012). He was named one of the top 10 power men in Africa by an online article published in 2011 by Forbes magazine.
