A senior year student at Bole High School in Bole District, Savannah Region, died just 24 hours before the start of the South African Diploma Diploma Examination in Africa. West (WASSCE) 2019.
Sources revealed that the student had been confirmed dead at the Bole Hospital on Saturday, March 6, 2019, where he had been admitted after complaining of stomach pains.
Unconfirmed information was gathered that the dead stomach pains had been triggered after mangoes and cashew nuts a few days earlier.
The authorities at Bole High School declined to comment on this regrettable development, but sources reveal that a delegation was sent to the family to inform them of the sudden disappearance of the student.
The West Africa Exam Board, WAEC, has released the schedule for this year's West Africa Graduation Examination (WASSCE).
The first article will be the work of the project Basketry 3.
It will end on June 7, 2019 with the technology of information and optional communication.
The English exam will however be written on May 9, 2019.
According to a report by citnewsroom.com, in July 2018, representatives of the Ghana Education Service (GES) and WAEC were summoned to Parliament's Education Committee.
This was due to the poor performance of the students who wrote WASSCE that year.
The results showed that nearly two hundred thousand students had poor results in the main subjects.
Of the 316,999 candidates who pbaded the examination, 26,434 candidates were selected because of their professional misconduct.
