Man City News: Kevin De Bruyne Takes Tottenham Again

Kevin De Bruyne insists that the new Tottenham stadium will not add pressure to Manchester City before his upcoming match, saying "in the end, it's the same thing".

Pep Guardiola's men will travel to the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Tuesday to face the North London club in the quarter-final first leg of the Champions League.

The stadium only opened on April 3 for the Spurs home game against the Crystal Palace. Mauricio Pochettino's men won 2-0.

Many spectators expect the stadium to give the Spurs a boost, but De Bruyne insisted he did not expect that to change anything.

"I do not think there's any difference if we play at Wembley or over there [Tottenham Hotspur Stadium]De Bruyne told the club website.

"Maybe they [the fans] are a little more enthusiastic because they can play in their new home but in the end, it's the same thing.

"The stadium will accommodate 60,000 people for Tottenham. It's the same thing when we play at home, we have our supporters at home. In the end, it's the same.

"Every match is going to be tough, every game is a different challenge.

"We are taking this game by game and hopefully we are going as far as we can."

The two sides meet again on April 17 and 20, but both matches are held at Etihad.
