Trend Micro has discovered a security leak that threatens its own Apex One, OfficeScan and Worry-Free Business Security solutions. Attackers could manipulate arbitrary files. The updates are available for download.
Trend Micro security specialist reports a serious flaw in its software. This includes Apex One, OfficeScan XG, OfficeScan 11.0 SP1, and Worry-Free Business Security solutions (versions 9.0 SP3, 9.5, and 10). As the company claims in a security bulletin, the vulnerability can be used both locally and remotely, allowing potential attackers to manipulate files from the management console.
Trend Micro responded after finding the hole and providing updates for each solution. Apex One, OfficeScan and Worry-Free Business Security users are invited to play as soon as possible.
