A leader, Adam Fuseini Walla, was jailed for 12 months for firing on his rival leader, Mohammed Wazari, during Eid's prayers, YEN.com.gh may report.

An Accra circuit court later sentenced Walla to 12 months' imprisonment, after being charged with three counts of illegal weapons acquisition, animal cruelty and escaping from prison.

Available information shows that, without any provocation, the convict Adam Fuseini Walla fired on his rival leader, Mohammed Wazari, on June 26, 2016 during Eid prayers, disrupting prayers.

According to a report from Dailyguidenetwork.com, however, Walla missed his target after two attempts but managed to shoot a horse belonging to the complainant. Unfortunately, the horse was mortally wounded and died the next day.

Subsequently, Walla was arrested after the incident and the police officers who were on the prayer ground recovered a pump pistol.

According to the police, the convict was reportedly taken to the Odorkor police station but managed to escape thanks to the help of fifty or so tall men. who stormed the premises of the police station and took him away.
