Eden Hazard breaks Cristiano Ronaldo's record while Chelsea beats West Ham

The brilliant doubling of Eden Hazard ensured Chelsea's 2-0 win over West Ham on Monday night.

Maurizio Sarri's team dominated throughout the match, but needed a world-clbad display and a sublime solo goal from Hazard to make a difference.

Bringing the ball halfway through the West Ham half, Hazard superbly slalomed four players before avoiding an ultimate sliding challenge that will allow him to shoot low in front of Lukasz Fabianski.

Hazard, who was sublime throughout the fight and constantly threatened West Ham's defense, was denied a no-fault penalty before half-time after a reversal by Marko Arnautovic.

But the Belgian scored his 84th goal in the Premier League to tie him with the scorer Cristiano Ronaldo was opposed during his stint at Manchester United.

And Hazard broke Ronaldo's record and finished with a late goal to secure Chelsea's 2-0 win.

Sarri continues to trust Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Callum Hudson-Odoi as they start the match at Stamford Bridge.

But Sarri's decision to substitute Loftus-Cheek for Ross Barkley 20 minutes from the end was greeted with whistles and jeers by Chelsea supporters.

The Hammers win put Chelsea in third place in the Premier League, although Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester United all played one game less.
