Givaudan wants to outperform the market after the first quarter survey

ZURICH, April 9 (Reuters) – Fragrance and flavor maker Givaudan said it was aiming to outperform the market with 4 to 5 percent growth in sales after recent acquisitions and solid demand which boosted activity in the first quarter of 2019.

Givaudan, which produces flavors for food and beverages and fragrances for perfumes and laundry, is benefiting as customers accelerate the pace of innovation, especially for natural ingredients.

Sales grew 6.3% at constant scope, while the Reuters survey forecast 5.3%. In published data, including acquisitions, they increased by 16.6%.
