The SSNIT Info Shop series, led by SSNIT, is an initiative of the Association of University Students of Ghana (USAG) to educate university students about the need to invest as soon as possible.

Up to now, five universities have benefited from the SSNIT Info Shop series since its inception in 2018.

The Navrongo forum is the first in 2019.

Regarding the role of the SSNIT in the development of Ghana's human resources, Mr. Ofori-Tenkorang said that the SSNIT has contributed immensely to the development of higher education in terms of infrastructure, referrals and student loans.

According to him, SSNIT youth hostels in different universities across the country host nearly 5,000 students to enable them to learn and prepare properly for their future.

USAG President Kingsley Sarpong Akowuah said that the relationship between USAG and the SSNIT would last for a long time, claiming that the SSNIT Info Shop series, for example, had been very beneficial for students on different university campuses.

He revealed that many young people outside these universities would also benefit from the SSNIT Info Shop series, as students would also spread the message.

People aged 15 can start contributing to the SSNIT, but people over 45 can not contribute to the first pillar of the pension plan.
