The Ebola outbreak in Congo "far from being contained," says US aid chief

The outbreak of Ebola in the Democratic Republic of Congo is far from being under control, said Tuesday the Administrator of the US Agency for International Development, Mark Green.

"Last week we found a number of signs indicating that the epidemic is far from being under control.The way to go is still long," said US senior aid official humanitarian during a US congressional hearing.

The Ebola outbreak in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo has killed more than 600 people.
