- A group of surfers in Victoria Bay, near George, South Africa, noticed that a great white shark baby was stranded on rocks.
- "He's going to die, how are we going to get him out?" "He's going to cut himself off, check out," said one surfer. "He's bleeding everywhere."
- The surfers realized that the shark was swimming towards the shore rather than offshore.
- First of all, they threw water on the animal.
- Then, with the help of lifeguards, they tried to throw the animal to the ocean.
- None of these tactics worked.
- Eventually, they took the animal out of the water, put it on a surfboard and took it along the coast, where they dropped it in a less rocky area. Then the shark could swim with ease.
