Asante Kotoko's general manager, George Amoako, insisted that the club was bigger than Songne Yacouba as a result of the attacker's attempt to leave.

The Porcupine Warriors announced Monday that they have opened negotiations with Zambian giant Zesco United for the sale of their best shooter, Songne Yacouba, after the player insisted that the club sell him.

Reacting to the news, Asante Kotoko's chief executive officer, George Amoako, said he was not worried about the player's loss, promising to bring in somebody better than him.

"No player is bigger than Asante Kotoko, Yacouba or none, Yacouba Kotoko is still Kotoko," he told Kessben FM Sports

"What I want to say to the fans, is that they should come cheer on the team. They will have a better Yacouba in the team in no time. They should mark it on the wall.

Kotoko risks losing key members of his team after the club announces the start of negotiations with the Zambian club.
