Olive Garden may have introduced its new menu "Giant Italian Clbadics" on April Fool's Day, but these large dishes are not a joke.

The new menu includes a parmesan chicken dish that is almost three meters long, huge stuffed shells stuffed with cheese and a giant 12 ounce meatball. The chain of Italian-American restaurants also offers unlimited soup or salad as well as breadsticks with all the orders of Giant Italian Clbadics.

I went to Olive Garden to try the Giant Italian Clbadics menu myself

I went to the Olive Garden restaurant on Sunday night with three members of my family. Upon arrival, I signed up on the waiting list of a table. I knew that on Sunday nights there would be a lot of people, but the restaurant was crowded with people and it took us almost 40 minutes before we sat down. I used this time to let my appetite accumulate, which would be useful later.

Once seated and fearful that the crowded restaurant would lack one or more dishes from the Giant Italian Clbadics menu, I quickly ordered a dish of each specialty. To our surprise, each dish is accompanied by a choice of soup or bottomless salad, which adds to the unlimited bread rolls of the restaurant features. So we decided not to add more food to our order.

Our garden salad and our breadsticks arrived, and I tried to warn all the people around the table not to fill up before the arrival of our main courses. Nobody listened.

When our main dishes arrived, I first turned to the "giant meatball with spaghetti".

It was absolutely colossal.

The giant meatball dish with spaghetti came with a 12-ounce dumpling placed on a bed of spaghetti with meat sauce. I knew I had to wait for a pretty big serving of meat, but since the meal was meant for only one person, I was surprised to see how big and prominent the dumpling was.

In my opinion, nothing with regard to the taste was particularly outstanding, but it resisted well compared to other spaghetti and meatball dishes that I ate in the past. The red sauce was a bit sweet for my taste, but the meatball was tender and full of flavor and the pasta was cooked well.

The next dish was the "giant Parmigiana chicken"

After eating the giant meatball, it was a little smaller than I expected. Do not get me wrong, eleven inches of parmesan chicken is a great help, but the chicken cutlet seemed rather thin and seemed to cover less than half the trim in width. The alfredo fettuccine portion did not look too big either, but the combination of chicken and pasta made it a hearty meal.

In my opinion, the giant chicken Parmigiana had rather the taste of an oversized chicken finger. This does not mean that it was not delicious, but it was breaded and crisp in a way that reminded the restaurant 's chicken fingers that I would eat like a kid. The fettuccine was solid, but I found it a little less tasty than what you might find in your Italian restaurant.

Surprisingly, jumbo hulls were the highlight of the meal

I did not expect it, but the two dishes "Giant Stuffed Shells" – especially the "Giant Shrimp Stuffed Shells" – I've seemed to be the best part of this casual meal.

According to the Giant Italian Clbadics menu, the "Giant Shells with Four Cheeses" are accompanied by five pasta shells stuffed with four varieties of cheese and garnished with marinara, Alfredo sauce and grilled breadcrumbs. Although my portion is not accompanied by breadcrumbs, the cheese delicacies of this pasta dish did not disappoint.

The real star of the show was the giant shells stuffed with shrimp. These five cheese-filled shells were garnished with shrimp, Alfredo sauce and diced tomatoes. Every bite was creamy and full of flavor, and the shrimp was juicy and well seasoned. I was skeptical about eating seafood from a chain restaurant, but Olive Garden exceeded my expectations.

The "Giant Stuffed Shrimp Shells" was my favorite of the four "Clbadic Italian Giants" meals.

Overall, I was incredibly impressed by my experience at Olive Garden

My family was too. Our waiter was extremely kind and attentive. Our food was good, plentiful and arrived on time. We ate as much as we wanted and we still had significant leftovers from each dish. In addition, the mint chocolates offered with the check were good enough to warrant a second visit.

For a total of $ 67.86 or just under $ 17 per meal before taxes and tips, guests get value for money with Giant Italian Clbadics menu items from Olive Garden. I still have not exhausted my leftovers despite the fact that I eat Olive Garden pasta almost exclusively these past two days, so I really think it when I say it's a good deal.
