Mr. Zein is a renowned company executive whose establishments are located in West and North Africa, Europe and Accra.
According to a complaint filed in Accra's high court, Net2 Television, owned by Kennedy Agyapong, showed the video to the world, claiming that the complainant had defrauded some people in the Republic of Togo, Nigeria, Ghana, Benin and in other countries without any proof.
The prosecution said the TV channel did not authenticate the video before broadcasting it.
"The comments and roundtables that followed shortly after the video clip were derogatory, prejudicial and well-designed to damage the applicant's reputation and commercial interests in the estimation by the members of society who thought well and / or tended to avoid or avoid it, "said the suit.
In the lawsuit, Mr. Zein said that following the broadcast of the video, he had forced his lawyers to meet with the defendants to find an amicable way to settle the case and proceed to the arrest of persons for fake and damaging videos.
Throughout the meeting, Mr. Agyapong badured the lawyers to have the people behind the video arrested and taken into account.
The defendants also badured the plaintiff to withdraw the said publication and, in a subsequent program, to apologize for the misleading publication. However, they did not manage to do it.
According to the prosecution, "the actions of Mr. Agyapong and Net2 were highly and seriously defamatory and damaging the plaintiff's reputation."
The applicant claimed that the broadcast of the video had affected his business because his business partners and others "continue to withdraw contracts, business partnerships, among several other business opportunities that could have and / or the potential to bring him more income, income and / or get him business opportunities, among other resources.
The plaintiff therefore seeks an order addressed to the defendants to make an unqualified apology in the same manner as the defamatory video.
He also claims 100 million GH ¢ in general damages, with interest at the bank rate in effect until final payment and legal fees.
