New uniform for JHS students presented at the press conference
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the introduction of a new school uniform for junior high school students.
Students should start wearing the new school uniform starting in the next academic year 2019-2020.
Professor Kwasi Opoku Amankwa, General Manager of the GES, announced this idea at a press conference in Accra on Thursday morning.
Other reforms have seen the GES revise programs for the country's primary and nursery schools.
The new curriculum will be from Kindergarten to Elementary Six.
In accordance with the implementation, a teacher from each district of the country will be trained on the new programs.
President Nana Akufo-Addo said the new program was inspired by best practices from around the world and would aim to make Ghanaian children confident, innovative, creative, educated and patriotic.
