Ghana is expected to face more power outages tomorrow, Thursday, April 11, 2019. Energy Distribution Services (PDS) have announced this news. The reductions are on the orders of the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo).

The move is to allow GRIDCo to build a 330 kV overhead line between Kumasi and Aboadze.

According to DGN Online, the power outage will last six consecutive days, from Thursday, April 11 to Wednesday, April 17. The lights will be off from 8am to 4pm.

According to the PDS, affected areas include Tarkwa, Bogoso, Asawinso and Juaboso.

Just last week, PDS released a list of areas likely to experience blackouts over the weekend.

These areas include Osu, Ablekuma and Airport City Enclave. The breakdown lasted about 12 hours.
