Tame Impala plans to return to the UK and Ireland later this year after announcing a series of arena shows in June.

The Australian group, led by leader Kevin Parker, will perform at O2 in London on June 8th. They will also perform in Blackpool and Dublin later this month.

The announcement came after the group revealed new music, with the release of the single Patience in March.

The band has become one of the most popular supporters of psychedelic rock in recent years, publishing albums Innerspeaker, Lonerism and Currents in 2010, 2012 and 2015 respectively.

Tame Impala was last produced in London as the Citadel festival's poster head in 2018, before 25,000 people at Gunnersbury Park.

The group will perform this summer at the Glastonbury Festival, alongside The Cure, The Killers, Stormzy, Kylie Minogue, Janet Jackson and Vampire Weekend.

Tickets for the O2 show can be purchased here from 9am on Friday, April 12th.
