The latest badessment comes a little over a year after the Danshell Group Hospital was rated "good" overall in January 2018.
According to the health watchdog, a series of more targeted inspections had been conducted in October and November 2018 for protection reasons.
Dr. Paul Lelliott, Deputy Chief Inspector of Hospitals and Head of Mental Health at CQC, said that backup crews were investigating Thors Park because of allegations of abuse by staff members to patients and of "several incidents related to unexplained injuries".
Following the last inspection, CQC issued the organization's warnings regarding security, governance and staffing.
Today's report explains that staff at Thorrington Hospital did not manage the risks for service users and "missed opportunities to prevent or minimize harm."
At the time of inspection, 11 men were being treated and treated at the hospital.
In its report, CQC reported that staff did not intervene in situations of difficult staff behavior, that stress records were "inaccurate" and that personal alarms were "defective".
It was also found that staff were not aware of the mandatory training and that they did not manage the drugs properly.
In addition, CQC reported that the provider did not ensure that the clinic door had been repaired. During his inspection, a patient managed to force his way into the room because the door was defective and no temporary solution had been put in place.
Concerns were also expressed about the cleanliness of the hospital.
As a result of the inspection, the hospital is now considered "insufficient" to be safe, responsive and well-managed, "needing improvement" to be effective and "good" to heal.
CQC has today produced a list of improvements to be implemented by the service. In this context, the Health Control Officer asked Thors Park to ensure that staff receive regular badessments and supervision and is aware of all mandatory training.
He also requested that the restraints used during incidents be recorded, that measures be taken to manage the significant problems that occur and that the clinic room, equipment and medications be safely managed. .
Dr. Lelliott explained that the department does not currently have a registered manager and that the number of officers has been high in the last year.
"It's questionable whether these factors have contributed to the deterioration of service since our last full inspection in January 2018 – when we called the hospital" good, "he said.
Dr. Lelliott described the situation in Thors Park as "disturbing".
