The Eurovision Class of 2019: Part 3: Returning Artists

The Eurovision Song Contest is an excellent platform for well-known artists and newcomers. Interpreting your song in front of an audience of nearly 200 million viewers is an unforgettable experience. Some artists love their experience so much at Eurovision that they decide to come back.

This year, six artists are returning to the competition.

Jurij Veklenko has played twice in the Eurovision Song Contest, but never as a singer. In 2013 and 2015 he was one of the choirs of Lithuania.

Tamara Todevska from northern Macedonia will enter the Eurovision phase in Tel Aviv for the fourth time. Twice she has not been in the limelight, she has performed as second badistant in 2004 and ten years later in 2014. In 2008 she played with Vrčak and Adrijan with the song Let me love you. Unfortunately, she was unable to reach the final in Belgrade.

Nevena Božović, originally from Serbia, was only 13 years old when she appeared at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2007. She finished third in Rotterdam. In 2013, during the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, she played on the Eurovision stage as part of Moje 3. The band did not qualify for the final.

Joci Pápai from Hungary won the national A Dal team in 2017 with Origo. He then participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev, where he placed 8th with 200 points.

In 2016, Serhat went to the Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm with his song I Did not'With. He just missed the final by finishing 12th in the semifinal.

The same year, Sergey Lazarev represented Russia. He did not only qualify for the final. He managed to win the televote and to be in third place after Ukraine and Australia.
