Standing comedian dies on stage in the UK

British comedian Ian Cognito died on stage at a concert.

The doctors were called to a club in Bicester, south of England, on Thursday night (Friday NZT), and a patient died on the scene, announced the ambulance service in the center. South.

Police said that death was not suspicious.

The show's organizer, Andrew Bird, told the BBC that when Cognito, 60, sat down and was silent, "everyone in the crowd, including me, thought he was joking".

Cognito, whose real name is Paul Barbieri, has never known much but is well respected by other comedians.

Artist Jimmy Carr tweeted Cognito's death on stage: "It's a commitment in comedy, I'll never forget his kindness when I started and how good he was damn funny ".

Little Britain Star Matt Lucas also paid tribute to Cognito.
