Celebration of Star Wars Started in Chicago today with a panel dedicated to what appears to be one of the biggest hit events of all time: Star Wars: The rise of Skywalker (The title was revealed next to the trailer at the end of the panel). Director J.J. Abrams and cast members, including favorites and newcomers, took the floor to share new details on the ninth and final chapter of the "Skywalker saga."
Here is what we learned about this mysterious film, which must not only close the trilogy as a result, but also more than 40 years of narration.
The return of a clbadic ship
The first footage of a Sizzle movie revealed a new ship resembling an updated version of Tantive IV's original trilogy. Interestingly, he was seen in a jungle setting similar to the rebel base on Yavin's New hope. Would it be a base of resistance?
They know that it's a big problem
Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy and Director J. J. Abrams took first place and explained that yes, that's really the conclusion of the Skywalker saga. And they went straight back to the source. "We immersed ourselves in all George [Lucas] created ", said Kathleen Kennedy, but she praised the filmmaker on stage with her. "He cares more than anyone I know," said Kennedy of Abrams.

Current status
Filming is over, Abrams and his company are deeply engaged in post-production. "We are in the process of editing and visual effects," said Abrams. "Things are going pretty well right now."
Carrie Fisher
Carrie Fisher died tragically before the cameras could film the new movie. However, Abrams will use unused footage from the force awakens to give him a role in the film. Still, Abrams misses the beloved actress. "Every day, I'm struck by the fact that she's not here," said Abrams:
The strange miracle of having had several scenes of Unused Force Awakens and watching these scenes and realizing that there was a way to use these scenes to continue this story. And the idea of CG, we did not even want to try. We thought that if there was a way to work on these scenes we had? A new adventure
At the beginning of the panel, Abrams and Kennedy shared an image of the beginning of the film. As you can see, it's Rey, Finn, Poe, Chewbacca and C-3PO on a forest planet, near the Millennium Falcon. "The film does not resume immediately after the last film," revealed Abrams. "A little time has pbaded." After being separated for most of the last film, the new film will open with the main group in a common adventure.
Practical effects
Like any good Star wars fan, Abrams knows the interest of mixing practical and digital. "We have done everything in camera," said Abrams.
Abrams and Kennedy insisted on the use of convenient locations, revealing a still image of a place in Jordan. Abrams noted that it was better for the actors and better for everyone.
The return of Lando
Billy Dee Williams then climbed onto the stage and was clearly enthusiastic about returning to the role of Lando Calrissian, where he is from. The empire counter-attack:

Meet Janna
The main cast then took the stage, including the new cast member, Naomi Ackie. A new photo of her character was revealed with a name: Janna. "The members of the original group get together on this epic adventure and I'm really excited to see Janna meet them," said Ackie.
But that's all it would reveal. She would not even confirm the rumors that she would play Lando Calrissian's daughter. "Lando is a very charming man, so he could have children everywhere in the universe, that's all I say," Ackie joked.

Oscar Isaac avoids a big question
