Meghan's mother chanted: "My little flower will be a princess" after learning that she was betrothed to Prince Harry, revealed the Duchess's uncle.
Doria Ragland, 62, gave the current 37-year-old Duchess of Susbad the nickname of "flower" when she was a child – and still uses it today.

After the birth of Meghan on August 4, 1981, Doria quickly returned to work for financial reasons, which resulted in her spending a lot of time with her grandmother.
Joseph explained that Doria and Jeanette lived around the corner and that her mother "played an important role in Meghan's care".
Meghan and Jeanette remained closely linked until his death from a stroke and heart disease at the age of 71, in 2000.
