Wikileaks founder Julian Assange was arrested Thursday at the London Embbady in Ecuador, where he had been granted asylum since 2012.
The United States alleges that it has plotted with Chelsea Manning to access clbadified information on computers from the Department of Defense. He could be jailed for up to five years.
Since its launch in 2006, Wikileaks has become known for publishing thousands of clbadified documents covering everything from the film industry to national security and wars.
The helicopter attack
In 2010, Wikileaks released a video of a US Army helicopter showing the killing of civilians in Baghdad, Iraq.
A voice on the transmission asked the pilots to "light them all" and the individuals in the street were fired from the helicopter.
When a van arrived at the scene to recover the wounded, she was also the target of shots.
Reuters photographer Namir Noor-Eldeen and his badistant Saeed Chmagh were both killed in the attack.

US Army Intelligence
Wikileaks has published hundreds of thousands of documents leaked by former US Army intelligence badyst Chelsea Manning.
Documents relating to the war in Afghanistan revealed how the US military killed hundreds of civilians during unreported incidents.
Other documents relating to the war in Iraq revealed that 66,000 civilians had been killed – more than previously announced. The documents also showed that prisoners had been tortured by Iraqi forces.
Among the leaks were over 250,000 messages sent by US diplomats. They revealed that the United States wanted to collect "biographic and biometric" information – including iris scans, DNA samples and fingerprints – from UN officials.
9/11 pager messages
Wikileaks has released approximately 573,000 messages intercepted during the September 11th terrorist attack in the United States.
Messages include families checking their loved ones and ministries responding to attacks.
"The president has been baffled, he will not return to Washington but does not know where he will go," said a message.

Democratic e-mails
Wikileaks has released thousands of hacked emails from Hillary Clinton campaign manager John Podesta's account in the run-up to the 2016 US presidential election.
In e-mails, Podesta called Clinton's electoral rival, Bernie Sanders, "doofus" for criticizing the Paris agreement on climate change.
The emails also suggested that a CNN contributor had informed the Clinton campaign of a question that was going to be asked during a debate moderated by the broadcaster.
The timing of the leaks led to accusations that Wikileaks was deliberately trying to discredit Ms. Clinton.

The site also released confidential information from Republican Sarah Palin's Yahoo email accounts in 2008.
Members of the British National Party
In 2008, Wikileaks published the names, addresses and contact details of more than 13,000 members of the British National Party.
The political party's manifesto proposed to ban immigration from Muslim countries and to encourage some British residents to return to "their lands of ethnic origin".
A former member was later fined £ 200 for the leak.

The piracy of Sony Pictures
A leak of more than 170,000 emails and 20,000 documents from the Sony Pictures movie studio was posted on Wikileaks in 2015.
The entertainment company suffered a cyber-attack for several weeks before releasing The Interview, a film that mocks North Korea.
The emails revealed that actresses Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Adams had received lower fees than their male counterparts in American Hustle.
There were also messages from producers and executives insulting celebrities such as Angelina Jolie.
Leonardo DiCaprio has been described as "odious" for refusing a role in a Sony Pictures film.
Assange said that emails were in the public interest because they showed the inner workings of a multinational company and were "at the center of a geopolitical conflict".
