Actress Joan Collins praised the NHS and fire crews after a "terrifying" fire in her apartment in central London.
London firefighters said they were called into a seven-story building located at Eaton Place, Belgravia, around 4:30 pm BST Saturday.
About 10 firefighters fought the fire that was controlled around 5:35 pm.
The actress needed a treatment for smoke inhalation and congratulated her husband "hero".
In a tweet posted Sunday, Collins thanked the NHS and the ambulance service, as well as the Metropolitan Police for blocking the street and the firefighters for extinguishing the fire.
She also thanked her husband Percy Gibson, who "extinguished the flames by consuming the entire wall with a portable fire extinguisher".
A spokesman for the fire department said: "Part of an apartment on the first floor of a seven-storey building was damaged by the fire.
"Two people left the property before the arrival of the brigade."
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said that two people had been treated by the London ambulance service but had not been hospitalized.
The fire was deemed not suspicious, he added.
