Kumasi, April
14, RNG – Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia asked Ghanaians to close their doors
and unite to address the development challenges facing the country.
"We have an
a common goal and must work towards this for a better Ghana, "he said.

Vice President
Bawumia said that it was imperative that citizens get rid of their

who has kept people together over the years.

badurance that the government would continue to seek the partnership of
stakeholders to advance the cause of development for the well-being of the
people.
He urged young people
in Zongo communities to embrace secular education to help equip them with
the knowledge and skills necessary for effective participation in the
development process.
His Eminence Dr
Nuhu Sharabutu, the national imam chief, in a speech read on his behalf, said
the conference had, over the years, served as a platform for Muslims
Community to discuss issues related to the growth of Islam.
He advised the
faithful to use this year's ramadan to deepen their understanding of Islam and
defend the virtues of obedience, sympathy, holiness, patience, love and unity.
Alhaji Mohammed
Muntaka Mubarak, MP of Asawase and leader of the minority
Whip, called on the Muslim community to unite and mobilize resources for
socio-economic development of the population.
