AshantiGold SC won Sunday a 1-0 win over Medeama SC on day five of the special stage at Len Clay Stadium.

The first strike of Amos Addai separated the two teams at the end of the day.

The visitors made a change in their composition when Justice Blay returned by replacing Jasper Nimo Nartey.

The Miners made some changes in their organization with Yussif Mubarak, Roland Amouzou and Amos Addai, replacing Eric Donkor, Emmanuel Nti Mensah and Amos Kofi Nkrumah.

The organizers made sure to destabilize the guests with their little dominance while Addai completed goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi to put them ahead in the 16th minute.

Medeama SC dominated the entire second half of the game but spoiled all opportunities.

The guests nearly tied in the 53rd minute but Awudu Tahiru's efforts hit the crossbar.

In the 75th minute, both teams were reduced to ten men after Richard Osei Agyemang and Tahiru Awudu were sent off after a misunderstanding.

Mauves and Yellow came together in the 90th minute after Yussif Musah's attempt inside the penalty area.

Ashanti Gold SC will travel to Berekum to play Berekum Chelsea next week.

Medeama SC will host Eleven Wonders FC in Tarkwa on the sixth day.
