Biometric verification

A statement signed by WAEC's chief of public affairs, Agnes Teye-Cudjoe, and published in Accra last Friday, explained that the decision to biometrically verify candidates before allowing them to enter the examination rooms was stifle the growing cases of identity theft recorded during school examinations in recent years.

"The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) is anxious to badure the public that all necessary measures have been put in place to ensure the smooth running of the examination.

Web site operators

"The public, especially the candidates, is urged to be wary of the activities of website operators who peddle false questions on social networks, presenting them as genuine papers," he said.

The council, the statement said, was seeking support from all stakeholders, including supervisors and supervisors, to preserve the integrity of the review.

He advised candidates to comply with the rules and regulations of the examination and refrain from any form of misconduct likely to lead to the retention or cancellation of their results.

The statement badured candidates that they could pbad the exam without cheating.
