We need men, women with integrity in their leadership – Ansah

Ghana needs men and women of leadership with a servant mentality and guided by a strong sense of humility, honesty, professionalism, patriotism and most of all fear of God.

The Technical Advisor of the Ministry of Transport, Mr. Paul Asare Ansah, said that Africa was fighting against poverty, deprivation and underdevelopment because of the abundance of natural resources, not because the continent lacked knowledge, professionals and intellectuals, but rather "we miss, especially in the public service Shadrachs, Meshacks and Abednegos who, in the mist of a blazing fire, do not s' will bow to no golden image of greed and corruption ".

"As I speak to you, many prominent people are being brought to justice in Ghana for various fraudulent cases that have resulted in the loss of millions of US dollars in that state.

They are likely to serve long sentences if found guilty, "said Ansah.

Graduation

Mr. Ansah, former Director General of the Ghana Ports and Harbors Authority (GPHA), delivered a speech at the Sixth Global Executive Institute Graduation Ceremony in Accra, where 75 students graduated, graduated from the university. and Masters degree.

The opportunity has also been used to reward 12 personalities in various fields of the United Clergy International Association (UCIA).

Among them were Mr Ansah, recipient of two GPHA awards – Community Impact Personality Award and UCIA Ultimate Excellence Award, Samuel Kwame Agyekum, District Director (DCE) for Asuogyaman – Lifetime Achievement Award, Inusah Fuseini, MP Central Tamale for Crystal Direction, Dr. Nii Ayi Bonte II, Gbese Matse / Adonte of the State of Ga (Hall of Fame Award), Most Reverend Robert Adotei Addo (Founder of Calvary Full Gospel Mission Worldwide (Honorary Award for life of the UCIA, Daniel Nii Kwatei Titus Glover), Deputy Minister of Transport and MP for Tema West (Award for Leadership Excellence), Peter Mensah, DCE for the Techiman North Award – Altimate Achievers The others were Freda Prempeh, Deputy Minister of Gender, Childhood and Social Welfare (FF Oriando Sprit of Service Award), Prince Sackey Alimoh, Global Excellence Foundation – Young Entrepreneur Award and Yvonne Nelson – Global Executive Foundati On (Leadership Excellence Award), Nenyi George Andah (Deputy Minister of Communications) – Dr. Lanz Award for Outstanding Service and Dr. Charles Anim Odame – Ankrah (President of the Canadian-Ghana Association of Calgary and also a Foundation of badytical chemist in Canada) – Leadership Excellence Award.

People in high positions

He said it was unfortunate that our own society disapproved of people in positions of trust who did not become rich during and after their management.

He said that many people in leadership positions were therefore focused on finding wealth in every way possible instead of trying to make leadership and democracy more meaningful in the lives of ordinary people.

Mr. Ansah recalls one day when he held the position of CEO when an investor came to him and deposited him $ 50,000 on his desk in an effort to make him sign an agreement commercial that he said was not in the interest of the industry.

To protect his integrity and conscience, he politely rejected the offer and added: "If I had found the investment worthwhile, I would have signed without even taking a pesesewa".

He encouraged graduates to say yes they could but learn to say no they should say it. He added: "Do not compromise your sense of professionalism to please a higher authority or for personal economic gain".

Recognition

The DCE for Asuogyaman, Mr. Samuel Kwame Agyekum thanked the President for his appointment and dedicated the award to him, as well as to all the inhabitants of Asuogyaman District.

He said that the price would prompt him to give him the price necessary to allow Asuogyaman to succeed, which is the expectation of the president and citizens of Asuogyaman.

The message of solidarity of the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, was read on her behalf by a Professor of the Institute, Professor Emmanuel Gyau Lanz.

He asked students to effectively use the information collected throughout their curriculum to meet the needs of humanity around the world.

Deserving students from all faculties received awards for their performances.
